ProBytes takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains in plain language which data we process when you visit our website or contact us, why we do so and what rights you have. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we process

We only process the data needed to show our website and to respond to your message:

We collect no more than this. We use no tracking cookies and no advertising networks.

3. Why we are allowed to (legal basis)

To handle your question. When you contact us, we process your data to respond. Basis: your request and our legitimate interest in responding.
To keep the website running securely. Server logs help us spot faults and abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure site.

4. Cookies

This website sets no tracking cookies and loads no external scripts, fonts or ads. The fonts are on our own server. Your theme preference (dark or light) is stored only in your own browser; that information is not sent to us. That is why no cookie banner is needed.

5. How long we keep data

Messages sent via the contact form or email are kept as long as needed to handle your question and for any follow-up, and no longer than necessary after that. Technical server logs are kept briefly, usually a few weeks.

6. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us run this website and our email, such as our hosting provider and our email service. With these parties we make agreements on confidentiality and security (data processing agreements). We keep data within the European Economic Area, unless appropriate safeguards apply.

7. How we protect your data

The website runs over a secure connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unauthorised access.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to processing. Send your request to info@probytes.nl; we will respond as soon as possible. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Changes

We may update this privacy policy when our website or laws and regulations change. The date at the top shows when we last updated it.
